Alice
Schoolgirl from Markurdi
Alice had what is referred to a medical parlance Blount’s disease which gave an exaggerated posture and made her walk like a duck. When she was brought to Hopeville, Dr Omeonu did what he described as corrective osteotomy before operating her with the Ilizarov device.
When she was seen in Markurdi, she looked transformed, taller, with straight legs, smiled and said “My legs are better now. I feel good about it.”
